How do you make a sandwich? Talk with a partner or a grown-up. What do you do first? What comes next?

A big job is easier when we break it down into small parts.

Break It Down

  1. Pick a big job: House, Robot, or Sandwich.
  2. Break it: drag each part into a box.
  3. Build it: add the parts one at a time, in order.
  4. Label it: drag each word to the box for that part.

Draw and Label

Open a paint program. Draw your own house, robot, or sandwich. Then type a word to label 3 parts.

Early Finishers

Done early? Try another big job, or pick an activity from the Extras tab.
